Honduras

Since 2007, Rice 360° has worked with the Houston Shoulder to Shoulder Foundation to improve diagnostic care in rural Honduras.  Houston Shoulder to Shoulder provides medical care and health education in Santa Ana, Honduras, a village that is more than an hour away from the closest hospital.  Rice 360° has joined Houston Shoulder to Shoulder on medical brigades, working with physicians to implement the Diagnostic-Lab-in-a-Backpack, which contains tools to perform a basic diagnostic exam in settings without electricity.
