Dr. Kari White is the Executive and Scientific Director at Resound Research for Reproductive Health and a non-resident fellow at the Baker Institute for Public Policy at Rice University. Prior to leading Resound Research, Dr. White was tenured Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Austin.

She has over 15 years of experience conducting high-impact, policy-relevant research on how policy changes affect people’s reproductive healthcare outcomes and experiences seeking and obtaining evidence-based care. Her research has been published in top-tier medical journals and widely covered in local and national media, including the New York Times, NPR and PBS. She served on the Advisory Council for Academy Health’s Research Community on the Equity Impacts of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision and currently serves on the steering committee for the Society of Family Planning’s WeCount project that is tracking changes in abortion across the country.
