Lisa Hirschhorn, MD, MPH
Dr Lisa Hirschhorn is Professor in the Fienberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University and Director of the Ryan Family Center for Global Primary Care. She has worked for over 3 decades as a physician and researcher to identify and address gaps in quality, access and outcomes of healthcare. She is a globally recognized leader in implementation science, using these methods across the lifespan from small and sick newborns to Healthy Aging. She serves as co-lead for the Data for Action and improving Quality workstream for NEST360 working to strengthen quality through integration of implementation research. Her work has been published in close to 300 papers and multiple chapters. She also works to build capacity in implementation research and quality improvement, mentoring students and faculty to build expertise in countries in Africa.
