🏆 Excellence in Capstone Engineering (1st Place): Team Trach Trainer | Team Trach Trainer won for the design of a low-cost pediatric tracheostomy trainer for at-home care. The team hopes their design will empower patient caregivers and improve essential tracheostomy care.
🏆 Best Interdisciplinary Engineering Design: Team AGILE (A LUCI-Endometrial Biopsy) | A standout year for AGILE, after winning at the Huff OEDK Design Showcase, the AGILE training model also secured first place at the Rice360 Undergraduate Design Competition on April 24. Their work was recently featured in Rice News.
🏆 Best Technology for Low-Resource Settings: Team TRUSt | Team TRUSt was recognized for their ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy training model, specifically designed for high-impact use in underserved regions.
