Call for Abstracts

The submission window for oral abstracts opens on June 1, 2024, and closes on July 15, 2024. The submission window for poster abstracts is June 1, 2024 through August 15, 2024. We are looking for research and findings related to one of our four conference tracks: maternal health innovation, newborn health innovation, digital health innovation, and commercialization, scale, and sustainability.

Abstracts covering the following topics are encouraged to apply:

  • Fetal monitors
  • doppler
  • cardiotocography (CTG)
  • preeclampsia diagnostics
  • ultrasound
  • Group B Streptococcus (GBS) testing
  • postpartum hemorrhage drape
  • uterine tamponade balloon
  • vital signs monitoring
  • Technologies that are designed to improve coverage and compatibility with Kangaroo Mother Care, including but not limited to:
    • Phototherapy lights
    • BubbleCPAP
    • Wireless vital signs monitoring
    • Sensors to measure KMC duration

Submission Format

You will be asked to fill in text boxes to detail your introduction, materials & methods, results, conclusions & discussions. Any figures or images you have to support your abstract can be uploaded in a .jpg. jpeg. or .png format.  

  • During the submission process, you will be asked to complete sections of mandatory information needed in order to complete your abstract. You must enter 250 (maximum) words for the required fields, including:
    • Introduction
    • Materials and Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusions
    • Discussions 
  • Any images, tables, or figures that support your work will need to be entered in a .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format. PDF files will not be accepted. We ask that you only submit one figure as supplement to your abstract submission. 

Additional Information:

  • Submissions do require a full author list to be considered complete.
  • You will be able to access your abstract to make edits including adding presenters and/or authors until the submission deadline.

General Policies

General abstract submissions will be eligible for either an oral or poster presentation.

By submitting, you agree to register and attend the 2024 Innovation for Day One Conference, and if selected to present, you will present in Houston, Texas, on the selected date, by the Innovation for Day One Conference committee. Selected oral abstracts will be notified by August 1, 2024. Selected poster abstracts will be notified by August 23, 2024. 

Please be sure to give yourself enough time to complete the entire submission process in our portal before the deadline, as we will be unable to grant extensions due to programmatic scheduling.
